Good morning.  I know it has been awhile since I have written a post,  but some positive things have been happening. God has really been working in my life if you knew me six months ago you would be surprised at the changes I have made. I’m not saying I am perfect but I am definitely changed for the better.

One of the changes that has been made in my life is constantly being exposed to God’s word on a daily basis. About 2 months ago I joined a group called to take part in a free bible study on Ruth. I must admit I had no expectations on doing this study, but God’s plan was different not only did I finish the study but I am not an accountability coach leading a group of ladies through a study.  Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that little old depressed,  anxious,   broken,  damaged, and lost me would have been here. I mean six months ago  getting out of bed without crying was a chore, but here I am up at 544 am ready to spend time with God and hopefully bless someone with my story and my struggles.
I pray that this helps someone and I hope you will check out and join us as we study 1 John.

Till next time

Ruth study day 1

I signed up for the Ruth study at hello mornings.  It’s a free study and if you are looking for a group of ladies that will help hold you accountable I highly recommend this study.

Today this study revealed so much to me.  One of the verses that was used as a reference in today’s lesson was Colossians 3:5. I must admit that when I think of idols I think of Golden Calves,  and other physical objects that people serve. But idols are so much more than that they are anything that blocks you from focusing on God. I must say that I am guilty of having several idols, which I plan on eliminating.  I am looking forward to what else God will reveal to me in this study. Here is a diagram of my idols. Till next time.

Today continued….

Today turned ou to be a pretty good day once I got moving, and started praying. I got to spend time with my grandparents, which was a blessing in itself. I love hearing my grandparents stories I hope to be as strong, close to God, and in love as they are one day. After some praying and spending time with good, I have decided to revisit a study I purchased awhile ago called, cookies on the lower shelf.

This study is part 1 of a 3 part series that provides an overview of the bible in 30 weeks. Each book contains a 10 week study through books of the bible. The first book covers Genesis through Ruth. I do plan to sharw my experience through this study on my blog and through youtube videos. I hope you join me in this journey either through your own devotions, this bible study, or another study of your choosing. I look forward to sharing this journal with you guys…..
